John H. Foote has been a film critic for the past thirty years. With a career that began in television, he has moved from the tube, to print to the web, maintaining a loyal readership. Foote has written three books, Clint Eastwood: Evolution of a Filmmaker, the massive Spielberg: American Film Visionary (due next year) and American Cinema in the Seventies (due in late 2015). He professes a deep love for American film, especially that of the seventies. A widower, he lives quietly in Ontario with one of his two beloved daughters.
