The first major awards show of 2011 is in the books and the Oscar race is now hotter than ever! As expected, The Social Network came up big, taking down awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Score. Natalie Portman edged out Annette Bening in a tight race for Best Actress, vaulting her into the frontrunner’s position. Inception, while missing out on the night’s biggest prizes, won a slew of technical awards, including Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction. Oscar Frenzy correctly predicted 12 out of 18 major categories. Winners are below:
