Get ready. Get set. Go! The countdown to the Oscars officially kicks off tomorrow night when the National Board of Review releases its yearly top ten list. Typically, at least four of the eventual Best Picture nominees are included on this prestigious list. Also, in addition, NBR’s Best Picture winner almost certainly makes the final cut. Past winners includes “Letters From Iwo Jima,” “Good Night and Good Luck,” “Finding Neverland,” “Mystic River,” and “The Hours.”

National Board of Review acting honorees also fare well with the Academy. For four years running, they have accurately predicted Best Actor. Last year they were two for two with Forest Whitaker and Helen Mirren (although virtually everyone had those two anyway). In a fairly wide open year, frontrunners will finally get annointed tomorrow night.

Here are OscarFrenzy’s predictions.
