The Broadcast Film Critics Awards, otherwise known as the Critics’ Choice Awards, announce early Tuesday morning. They provide nominations in all the major categories, including ten films for Best Picture. It is extremely, extremely rare that an Academy Award Best Picture nominee does not somehow find its way onto this list.

BFCAs have a history of going with big films that seem and smell like Oscar bait. In the past, they honored “Cinderella Man” and “Memoirs of a Geisha,” even though both films received mixed or even outright bad reviews from critics. For that reason, we think “American Gangster” is a shoo-in and possibly even “Charlie Wilson’s War.”

Here are OscarFrenzy’s predictions for the top ten films.

No Country For Old Men
The Kite Runner
Michael Clayton
The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Into The Wild
There Will Be Blood
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
