Cesar Abella has been following the Academy Awards since he was seven years old, after watching the 1992 ceremony where “The Silence of the Lambs” won the top 5 awards and being fascinated by Debbie Allen’s choreographed dance to John Williams’ score for “JFK.” Since then, he has watched every single ceremony and immersed himself in Oscars trivia and history. He is a trained playwright and screenwriter, having studied at UCLA and The Central School of Speech and Drama, and his work has been seen in New York, London, Los Angeles, and his film directorial debut was screened at the 2011 San Jose Short Film Festival. For the rest of his time, he works as a Studio Assistant at a singing school in San Francisco, his hometown. He is pleased to be a contributor to AwardsFrenzy.
