Oscar Trailer Talk

Little Children‘s trailer features a voice-over about unhappiness, train noises, and a lot of clips of either unhappy or ecstatic people. Although the trailer is well done, it’s hard to know what the actual movie will be like. Kate Winslet appears to be a contender for best actress.

World Trade Center – Just Plain Awful

I have not checked any other critics’ review, so I would not be surprised if I am one of the only people to regard World Trade Center as a complete and monumental disappointment. Quite simply, this movie should never have been made. While the story it tells is somewhat compelling, the movie itself is anything but. Oliver Stone has taken audience manipulation and oversentimentality to an entirely new level.
